FND Awareness Day UK 25th March 2018
Friends In N.E.A.D are proud to be working in partnership with FND Action and several other peer support groups and charities. Please see the bottom of the page for links to these other awesome organisations who are working hard individually and as a part of #Voices4FND team for the
FND Awareness day UK, which is coming up very soon on Sunday 25th March 2018.
FND which stands for Functional Neurological Disorder is often accompanied by N.E.A.D so it is especially great to see everyone team up and work together in raising awareness about what these conditions are and how they affect people.
It really breaks my heart to acknowledge that a lot of people who are suffering from these conditions are often badly disabled and yet they still suffer due to lack of knowledge and awareness about FND and N.E.A.D. Sadly often people have no idea what these conditions are (including some medical staff) but often they also get accused of faking the condition.Â
So I hope that working together on this years awareness day will atleast be a step in the right direction of putting an end to the lack of knowledge, the ignorance and the stigma that comes along for the ride with N.E.A.D AND FND.
