A Little Bit Of Happiness

Hello guys, I haven’t written a blog since November so thought I would come and say hello and see how you are all doing? At the moment I am having seizures every couple of weeks. Since the new year I have made huge changes in my diet and also my lifestyle. Which I believe has been helping a huge deal towards my positive thinking. But like anybody else, when a seizure occurs, i do have bad days. This is why I believe it is so important to find some of your favourite things to help boost you up. I don’t know about you, but when I have a seizure I feel drained and just either want to sleep or lay around. To help with this, I always make sure I have my favourite essentials. So my first go to is chocolate and a good tv box set, this depends which one I’m watching at the time, for instance prison break. Not only does that make you laugh or smile but it also makes your mind engrossed. This means you are more likely to distract yourself from what you are feeling. My second go to after a seizure is my favourite pyjamas. You know the pair you never want to wash because you don’t want to wear your other ones. For me being comfy is a must. It makes me feel brighter straight away, kind of like the feeling of taking your skinny jeans off after a day of wearing them. Pure bliss. My last go to is my all time fluffy blanket, something that puts me at ease and makes me feel less anxious straight away. Everybody will have their own favourite things that they go to after a seizure. And if you don’t maybe have a think of a few of our favourite things and incorporate them into making you feel better and creating that little bit of happiness for you. Anyway, I will leave you for now but if you already have found your little bit of happiness for when you have a seizure. Get in contact and let me know what they are and hopefully help the people get some ideas, if they don’t already have one.

Thanks for reading, until next time,

Lauren
